It's a shame that they still haven't released more episodes of "Rocky King, Detectivce", but hey, maybe I'll annoy people by buying a copy of the cigarette DVD. LOL.

I'm not sure I'd want an entire DVD devoted to cigarette commercials...wouldn't it get boring after awhile? I like what Meatpies uploaded last week; a potpourri of commercials. Those I can enjoy thanks to the variety.

I think Alpha must be running low on material.

They should release everything listed here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_surviving_DuMont_Television_Network_broadcasts

All of it's public domain, all of it has historical value and all of it IS BETTER THAN THAT UNFUNNY PIECE OF CRAP CALLED "Pink Lady and Jeff". Which was released on DVD by another company. Oops.

I think Alpha releases whatever they think will sell, namely horror, westerns, cult movies, tv shows with cult followings, and occasional oddities (like the cigarette commercials DVD). Maybe they think most people don't know much about DuMont; I know I didn't until I began to read your posts and reviews.

I do wish Alpha would give up on "Alpha New Cinema" however.

EDIT: I'm surprisaed Alpha hasn't released a DVD of King Waylon's vintage strip loops...yet.

They've already released two DuMont shows (these supplied some of the uploads here). They should release more.

What I would like to see is the cigarette commercials from the 90s and 2000s !! Though they are banned in this country such ads are still allowed on TV in Japan, China and the Phillipines ( whoops mis-spelled that one ). One ad I was told that had aired in Japan had the members of the bands N'Sync & The Backstreet Boys getting together doing an ad for Marlboro Lights.

I am pretty sure the Backstreet Boys had done an ad for Black & Mild cigars too.

Want some more? I can do another fairly large upload today if you all want. It might be different commercials for the same products, though... just keep that in mind.

First, I must go outside and tend to my "Topsy Turvy" which is in the process of growing bell peppers!! Summer has finally arrived here in the Pacific North-Wet, so I want to make sure they don't get too dried out. Finally, it's going to be warmer than 66 degrees.

PS I think I know were the "Pacific North-West" is but were is the "Pacific North-Wet"

The Pacific North-West IS the Pacific North-Wet... we have two seasons, the rainy season, and July.

Down here in the dusty SW desert it's been floating around 110 the past week or so. Got up to 115 one day.

I'm game for more (and to think I didn't used to enjoy old commercials). Love those old car commercials especially.
